hey now, I'm using a PC with the standard Windows Media Player, it also has itune's. My prob is that neither has a way of eliminating the gap between tracks. What is a good player/burner. Thanks for any help!

Although I have read others complain about it, for me WINAMP is a very good and easy to use media player. I also have Realplayer, but on my computer it seems to crash more than Winamp

Winamp for playing - free and highly recommended.

I use Nero Express essentials for gapless burning, which came free with my PC but might cost something to download. It's good and robust, but has one annoying bug (it burns flac files fine but the "play" function for flac files causes the program to crash).

cdr label - cheap way to handle label art and text.

I must have an old itunes, it does not have a gapless function as rob suggested...however I searched for and DL'd CDBurnerXP. Now I'm getting Traders Little Helper

Glad you found something(s) that'll work for you. Adding my 2 cents worth I'd have to highly recommend:

Imgburn [httpp://www.imgburn.com] which is free, ad/virus free and can burn any kind of disc your drive can manage.

For playback I've been using Foobar 2000 since early betas and it just works. You need a plug-in for shn files but it and a host of others [http://www.foobar2000.org/components] are easily added [usually downloading the zip file, unzipping and putting into the foobar folder] which can do anything from tagging your files from the txt file, burning audio CD [CDDA], playing files from within zip file, kernel streaming [bit exact playback], and much more! It plays MP3, MP4, AAC, CD Audio, WMA, Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, Musepack, Speex, AU, SND...

Hope this helps should you be still looking.

Hey rasta - I've got a mac but I'm guessing iTunes works much the same on pcs.

Command click to select the tracks you want to be gapless
Select Get Info from the File menu
Select Options
Select Gapless Album and Yes from the dropdown menu.

That should do the trick.

Looks like Rob has you covered.
But, (there is always a but)if you want another option, I use cdburnerxp. Free to download and it does video as well as audio. I,ve been using it for over 3 years and have been very pleased with it.
